I bought a 2003 Accord coupe about a month ago w/ 80K miles. About a week ago i noticed the red SRS airbag light was on. It stays on most of the time but sometimes when i first start the car it will come on for a minute or two then go away(stays on beyond the initial start when all lights turn on), other times i will drive for about 10min then it comes on. The other day i was waxing the car and i noticed there was some over spray on the driver's front wheel well. So the car must have been in some sort of wreck or fender bender . I checked the Carfax before buying the car and it said the car is clean with only 1 owner. When SRS light goes off, is there usually some major wrong? Any ideas or tips will be apreciated. Thanks!

I've only put about 250 miles on it, i hope I didnt get a lemon.

 

The car most likely was hit, the air bag senser on the front could be loose or the light wasnt reset properly. Start with the senser.
