I have a 97 accord automatic with about 125,000 miles on it. About 2 weeks ago my radiator started leaking and spilled out all over and caused my car to start overheating, so I had a new radiator, thermostat and hoses installed. The temperature is running fine now. However, about a week after I got it back from the shop my tranny started acting up. When i would maintain about 20 mph around a turn and then try to hit the gas it would rev up high before entering into gear and letting me accelerate again. It is now having problems after I back up when I put it into drive It revs up high before it engages and startes moving and then I hear a thud a few seconds after I put it in drive. If I am at a stoplight and accelerate it seems to shift fine through all the gears. Could there be any connection between these tranny problems and the work they did on the radiator? I have never had any shifting problems before this started happening. Thanks for the help!
