Default Unusual electrical issue

I'm stumped! My Honda Accord LX 2005 (4 cylinder) will not start after only 3-4 days not used despite a brand new battery. It clicks and fizzles and dash light flicker. After removing key, lights continue to flicker briefly! Ummm... how is the power getting to the dash if the key is removed? Further, boosting starts the car perfectly. Battery check shows it is A OKAY and car starts perfectly well if switched on and off repeatedly immediately jumper cables are removed. I can think of no issue which would cause car to start with boost but not on its own while having an almost fully charged battery (battery will die completely if left unused for 6-7 days indicating there is an unusual drain). The car will even start if just a battery tester is connected briefly, no boost required! That's a puzzle.

Can anyone steer me in a direction to find out what the problem with my Accord might be. Thanks
