I think he's talking about the weight of the engine only, i don't think they posted the engine weight at the door jam.

 

Thanks Piggylover for noticing that. Yes - I know the overall weight, but was wondering about engine only. My impression is, that it should be pretty heavy engine, but I can't find any technical data for that. Just heard 'dry weight' term, which corresponds to an engine without any fluids, yet no data

 

I think the 200hp J30A1 weighting around 250lbs, and the 240hp J30A4 engine weights 20lbs less an about 1" shorter than the J30A1 because it's using a three-way VTEC system, higher (10:1) compression ratio, and a novel exhaust manifold cast as one piece with the cylinder head.
