Default v6 swap?

I have a '96 V6 170 hp. Is there any popularity in engine swaps to better this model? (I belive it is a c27)

There isn't really anything that swaps in with relative ease or low cost. There also isn't much in the means of aftermarket parts for it.

Yes , Andy's is good, but the tranny swap is a BIG deal. Remember you have to get a clutch and added pedal among other things.

yes very correct.also when you take the tranny out there a huge hunk of metal where the old tranny used to sit on so that needs to be taken out...its a difficult swap..and im sure shops will charge and arm n a leg..lol..
im just sticking with the stock engine.its an old one but its good.another member even makes custom headers..i belive hes done the auto to manual swap as well.
