vtec question

no mine isnt on i was just wondering i have 1999 accord ex v6 model but if something did happen would i get a CEL light?

Like Falkore said, if vtec wasn't working your car would not be able to rev past 4,000prms. Do you have any mods in your car like an intake because you will be able to hear it at around 35000rpms. oh ok so if it wasent working i couldnt get it past 4,000 rpm ok thanks for all the help guys and is my 1999 honda accord ex v6 a 6th generation model?
