Default water in my gas

is there a simple laymans test to tell if there is water in your gas. I have been getting a bit of loss of power on my 1997 honda accord lx and a bit of sound coming from the tailpipe with a bit of jerking of the vehicle. It will loss power 1 second and then rush off the next. I recently started using E10 (10% mixture of ethanol in gas). Any suggestions as to what might be the problem would be appreciated.

Try some octane booster and see if it helps. If it helps, it may be a problem with the gas.

Also, ethanol, like any alcohol, loves to attract water.

I say, run the tank down as low as you are comfortable, then pour in 2 bottles of drygas, drive a bit, braking violently to mix it all up, drive until you are scared of running dry, then refill the tank at Shell or Texaco.
