2002 coupe,187000 miles. repairing headgasket. when mechanics tore into they found a waxy substance through out the engine including radiator. said looked like someone poured candle wax in it. they baffled. anyone have any ideas to what has happened?

 

Do these cars have tranny coolers in built into the radiators??? Had this problem in a mustang about a year ago... Tranny fluid was getting into the coolant system, and left the same problem... Had to change out the radiator and fllush the whole system...
