Default Won't Start

My 2000 Accord won't start unless I push the brakes in real hard, put it in neutral then started then it will start. What's the problem? Please help. Thanks.

do you mean to say it wont start in park? or do you have a manual transmission?
sounds like the brake switch might be broken/misaligned. peek under the dash and take a look.

I have an automatic. I can't turn the engine in park but if I press the brakes in real hard, put it in neutral then it will start. Someone told me it be a neutral safety switch?

if the engine doesnt crank over at all in park its most likely the neutral safety switch. I would check the brake switch alignment as well.

We looked at the neutral safety switch and itseems fine. And sometime when the engine is already on I can't put the car into gear. Thanks.
