Default RE: MPG

Unless you have a really lead foot something's wrong. My 94 EX has always generated 25-27 mpg w/ about town driving and 30 mpg on the road. It has 225K miles at present.

Things to check. Tire pressures, brake caliper piston sticking causing excessive pad drag, intake air filter, thermostat (too cold engine temp lowers mpg), fuel pressure regulator (pull vacuum line and sniff for gas, if yes replace regulator), PCV valve and hose clear, throttle plate and IACV clean, base timing at 15 btdc, check engine compressions (should be 180 psi, min 135psi, max variation 29 psi, check w/ WOT).

good luck

I get close to 30mpg with my 97 LX coupe. Thats with about 80% freeway with some morning traffic and A/C is on almost all the time.
