Default '01 AC Drain Hose

Hi, I am also having trouble locating the drain hose on a 2001 Accord. Can it be accessed through the engine compartment or is it located from under the car? Thanks for any help. Rick

I moved this to its own thread.

Not sure of the exact issue you are having?

Is there water leaking into the pass side floor board? Or do you have an smell in the car with the ac on?

Either way, when was the last time you changed the cabin air filter?

Hi

Thank you for your response. I am removing the evaporator and expansion valve. I found out that I don't have a drain tube. There is just a plastic fitting that goes through the firewall. I guess it is hard to find something that isn't there. Thanks Rick

If you are that far into it.....mind taking a pic of where it "pokes" thru under the car.......there is another member having an issue. If you post the pic I can point them to this thread so they can find it.

AC issues, ouch.

That is a great picture and exactly what I have on my honda. The repair manual directed me to disconnect the drain line which just didn't exist. This Honda is new to me, but the Haynes manual seems to just give generaL instructions.

Someone asked that I take a picture of where the drain port comes through the firewall. I am traveling this week and won't be able to get a picture until this weekend, but the above photo shows it perfectly. There isn't any screws holding the drain port in place. It just passes through a grommet in the firewall.

Thanks for the advice.

Rick
