Exclamation 02 Accord V6 Multiple Issues

First let me say hello, this is my first post to the forum. I am the proud new owner of a 2002 Accord 4dr EX V6 (I think that may be a little redundant). This is the first Honda I have ever owned (and first Japanese import for that matter). I sold my 06 Mustang GT and got the Honda for a steal. It is in great cosmetic condition but it needs a little work.

I have searched the forums for the problems I am having and have found quite a few answers. I have a Check Engine Light that came on simultaneously with the TSC light. I pulled the P0470 code for the Torque Converter Clutch solenoid failure and assume that a transmission change is in my near future.

The thing that I couldn’t find on the forums is this… When I go into a turn (sharp or the gradual turn of an onramp) the engine revs like the car is intermittently in neutral. I’m not sure if this is another symptom of the aforementioned transmission issues or another problem in its own.

There is also a squeal/squeak/squall coming from the front left wheel that sounds similar to a break pad tab rubbing the rotor. Could this be a wheel bearing or does the problems when turning seem to indicate something more?

Thanks for reading and I hope you guys can help me resolve some of these problems.

P.S. There is a burnt smell coming from the car after driving I assume it is the trans

It sounds like the transmission is on its way out and causing the shifting/driving problems.

The sound is tough to diagnose over the web. If it is squeaking, then I would suspect a ball joint. It could be the sway bar endlinks.

What does the fluid look like? Also while checking that what is the level, check the owners manual for the "correct" procedure.
