Hi and thanks in advance.
As indicated I have a CRV that cranks then binds like major advance timing. Once it starts, it runs good. No CEL
It want to Honda and they said they were unsure.
I'm going to pull the coil wires and crank to see if it's definately spark related and not internal engine schtuff.
Any thoughts?

it's the starter, it uses the same POS starter the automatic accords use, mitsuba, can be rebuilt or just replaced. check all your connections as well.
