I'm a mechanic and am having trouble with a/c clutch randomly engaging. Hooked scanner to PCM and Live Data says A/C command ON, A/C clutch ON even when clutch is not engaged. When I turn off A/C switch, both data says OFF. I have replaced expansion valve, drier and recharged. Running pressure 50 L and 225 H. Equalized 150. Anyone experienced with this problem, please chime in and PM me. Thank you.

 

Kinda picky are we?

AC compressor clutch energized w/o actuation suggests too large clutch gap. A good whack w/ a stick may cause it to engage, which confirms clutch gap is the issue. Fix by removing shim beneath the clutch plate. You may have to remove compressor mounts to access clutch plate.
