Default 03 Honda accord ex 4-cyl map lights problem

When the switch is set to the door on my 2003 Honda Accord 4cyl coup, the map lights sometimes work properly but other times they don't. Usually, I have to press or wiggle the switch to get the lights to turn on. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? Does the entire assembly need to be replaced? They are LED lights if that means anything but i feel like it is something with the assembly itself because even the little amber light on it goes on and off too.

Most likely the plastic switch inside the unit is bad. Search youtube for how to replace honda accord map light switch. Pretty easy DIY. I found my replacements on Amazon for pretty cheap. They were dorman brand and still work since installing in 2018.

Are you referring to the actual switch or the white toggle switches inside of each light? I have definitely looked all over youtube for it, but all i can find is people replacing the toggle switches. If it is in fact the actual switch itself is there a way to replace that or would it require me to get a whole new unit itself.

I'm talking about the white toggle switch inside the light assembly.

See this video.

Okay, that makes sense. Definitely, I'll give that a shot. I was just confused as I assumed that it must have something to do with the door/off switch because I would occasionally twist it and it would fix it. However, after seeing how it is set up, that makes perfect sense. Once again i really appreciate the info.
