Default 04 Accord Lock Problem

Hi,

I own an 04 Accord EX and recently I've noticed that my key doesn't go smoothly into the front driver's side lock. It takes some serious work to get it in. Has this happened to anyone? Any tips? I'm contemplating oiling it or putting in some WD40, but I don't want to do anything reckless.

Thanks!

WD-40 will not hurt anything. That cures my door lock when the temps get below freezing.

Graphite is also a good lubricant.

WD-40 will dry out leaving the lock less lubricated than before.

Use WD-40 to clean it out & get it working freely. Then use oil or graphite or something that will stay in there.
