The subject pretty much sums it up. This jsut started today. I turn on the car. It comes up with the three dash's like it's trying to get the temp, then it just sits at 70. I'm in texas, and I know it's not 70 outside. The real kicker is I'm just past the warranty. Let me know if anyone has any ideas what this could be.
Thanks

you can remove and test the outside air temp sensor.......it is located behing the frt bumper, in frt of the condensor., 2 wires going to it,, plug is gray in color
anyho. you need a multi meter, set it on ohms and chk the resistance ,, hook up the ohm meter to the sensor..
Put the sensor in ice water and chk resistance , at 32* should be around 6.5 ohms,
than pour some warm water and chk to make sure that there is a change in resistance ,, the warmer the less resistance
at 50* around 4 ohms
at 68* around 2.5 ohms
at 86 * around 1.5 ohms
at 104 * around 1 ohm

Turn the ignition switch ON (II). Go to the outside air temperature display. [/ol]
Press and hold the reset select button for 10 seconds. While you continue to hold the button, the display will scroll through temperature settings from +3 ยบ to -3 ยบ. If thet actual temperature is 32F and the dash is showing 35F hold the button until -3 is shown, then release andturn the key off, then turn the car on and check. [/ol]
