I have a 05 Accord Cpe LX 4 cy 90,000 miles. The break and pwr steering fluid have never been changed. The brake fluid is dark brown and the pwr steering fluid is not as dark. Do these fluids need to be changed? No problems with either systems. Will changing the fluids lead to system issues? Maybe they are okay as is. Feedback is appreciated.

 

If you look in your owner's manual, there are intervals to change these fluids.

Brake fluid absorbs water over time, so the water can cause corrosion.

I think the PS fluid is the same way too.

If you go to change the PS fluid, only use Honda fluid.
