05' Accord dies when key is turned...help
I have an 05' Accord EX V6. When I turn the key to the "ON" position everything is fine. Everything electrical works. When turned to the "START" position, after one click (starter relay?) everything just dies, like the battery has been disconnected. No lights, no gauges, nothing. It remained dead after this. After I pulled and inspected a few under hood relays and fuses the power came back on with the clock flashing like the battery had been disconnected. When trying to start the same issues occurred. The battery shows a bit over 13V and my code reader shows no problems.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advanced.
edit. I also noticed that the key seemed a bit hot when removed from the ignition lately. Ignition switch?

Is your car a coupe (2-door)? If yes, depending on your VIN (vehicle id number), it may be covered under a recall due to a stalling or no-start problem. Your VIN is on your car registration, on the driver side dash, and a lot of other places. See this Honda technical service bulletin. Copy and paste without quotation marks to view.

You can also enter your VIN here:
"http://www.ahm-ownerlink.com/SEO/HondaRecall.asp?recallStatus=NO%20VIN&recallId1=NO %20RECALL%20IDS"
Even if it is not under recall, the problem may possibly pertain to the underdash fuse box. The fuse box is actually very easy to replace, only a few bolts holding it.
The hot key is normal, see attached image.

Here's also a Honda technical service bulletin regarding a recall for a main relay problem which may cause a no start problem due to a broken coil wire in the relay.

First off I'd like to thank everyone who responded.
As I was under the hood checking connections and generally wiggling stuff about, the positive battery terminal came out in my hand. I'm not a professional mechanic but I was at least 49% sure that this "quick release terminal" was indeed the problem and not a new feature.
One warantee replacement of the 2 month old battery later and she fired right up.
Thanks again.
