05 Automatic Tranny Problems

Hello all.. I am new to your Accord forum, so want to start off by saying hello and Happy New Year.
I have done numerous searches in this forum and Google with no luck, so hope this yields better results. I have a 2005 EX V6 with an auto tranny. I started noticing what felt like a slip around 10K miles, especailly in cold weather. It has gotten progressivly worse and is once again in the shop as I type. My Honda dealer claims they do not feal it, however it happens every morning I take off in the car?? Again it seems to happen more frequent when the car is first started and shifting from 1 - 2 and 2 -3. The car hesitates and studders in between shifts. It almost feals like I am driving a manual tranny and trying to take off in too high of a gear.
Anyone experiencing the same problem, or know of any information on the topic? Any advice/suggestions is most appreciated..
Thanks

hey nitro. you got a serious tranny problem which will probably result in it going out on you. hopefully it will happen before your warranty runs out.
have you ever had the fluid changed in the tranny? If you use anything but the dealership only honda atf the tranny will go out. this is the same for the power steering too.
If the fluid is the original, hit up your local checker, shucks, kragen and get some lucas trans fix, warm the car up drive it around for a little while then squeeze about half the bottle into the dipstick tube while the motor is running. results should be noticable immediately just like it says on the bottle. while your at it grab up the whole lucas line, they really know their ****.

Thanks for the reply.. I also have a bad feeling that this is, or will be a major problem in the near future. My Accord just rolled over 20k miles, so I still have some time under warranty.
The good news is that last night I picked the car back up and the dealer said they DID feal something in between 2nd & 3rd gear. Not the full fledged slip I have noticed, but at least it is documented. The service manager told me that it is on record and he has the option of replacing something under warranty up to 50k miles. After that they could still work something out, but it would have to go through a regional manager.
I am a little more at ease, but would still like to hear if others (03 - 05 Accords) are having the same problems.

i think honda is just trying to change with the times. small MANUAL 4 cyl cars are just not what people want anymore. people want big, luxurious, v6 AUTO cars that get as good of gas mileage as a 4 cyl but are as smooth and powerful as a MBZ. this is a big task to accomplish, and honda has had trouble creating a flawless auto tranny for a while now but make no mistake they have millions of dollars and the brightest minds in the world doing their best at the quickest rate possible to get it down. just like with the acuras that were having probs around 2003 they made sure to fix the problem before any trannys actually broke, and i think they will do that for this too.
