Default 06 accord oil life percentage will not go down

I have a 06 accord and I noticed that my engine oil life percentage is not going down. Can anybody explain what controls this? I was in an accident and my SSR light is on. Would having this code in my ECM prevent the maintenance minder from working?

The maintenance minder info is stored in the ECM/PCM and in the gauge control module. The ECM/PCM keeps track of the oil life, while the gauge control module handles the service items.

Having a stored trouble code should not prevent the maintenance minder from working.

Have you tried resetting the maintenance minder?

I noticed that it was not going down from 30%. I reset it a few days ago to 100% and I drive at least 100 miles a day and it is still at 100%

Give it more time, it will not change in just a few days, even if you drive 100 miles per day. It will look for a average over a certain number of days to take into account a variety of driving conditions. Recheck it in 22 days.

Mines a '14, and it moves in increments of tens. This can be 1,000 miles.
