Hi All

My 2.4L motor with 240K kms (about 140K miles) has a dead cylinder, I pulled the valve pan cover and the rockers are all working but cylinder one has no compression. I can get a pretty good deal on a low mileage K24 motor out of an 06 Accord. I am going to get the VIN number from the motor and call the local dealer with my VIN to see if they expect this motor to fit as well.

The salvage yard offers a 90 day warranty and tells me I need only to use my own throttle body and intake manifold. Does this sound reasonable?

Your 2004 engine is a K24A4 with the mechanical cruise control and throttle cables, the 2006 is a K24A8 with drive-by-wire throttle control. But, you can swap it.
