Default 07 Accord - SE - DC Outlet Issue

New here, so if I am posting in the wrong area, please let me know.

I recently purchased an '07 Accord SE V6 with Low Mileage.

To start, the car runs great!

However, I have a cell phone and a GPS unit that I use for business travel and returning from my out of state trip to get the car, noticed that the two DC Outlets of the Accord are not powering any devices.

Is there a known problem to the '07 Accord SE DC Outlets? Would I possibly have a electrical issue?

The car battery wasn't turning the car over and they had to jump the vehicle quickly to get it started when I test drove it. Dealer said that happens to Hondas/Accords if they sit for a while... so I trusted it. The vehicle started up every time thereafter without an issue... but I noticed the DC Outlets are not working and sometimes the radio is dropping out and will have a little light flicker to it.

I still have 1-Year and 12k miles left on the bumper to bumper warranty with Honda.

Should I bring this in? Is there something that is preventing the outlets from getting power that I just don't know of being new to the vehicle? A switch or button I am unaware of?

Could it be related to a bad battery?

Just looking for any feedback and advice from people with experience with the vehicle.

Appreciate any and all feedback.

Thank You,

BAS

You can check all the fuses yourself. There should be a fuse box under the hood and on both sides of the dash (you can see them with the door open). The fuse panel covers have diagrams to each fuse and the title of the circuit it protects. It's likely that someone just plugged in something that drew a little too much power and blew the fuse. If all the fuses check out, bring it to them and they should repair it for free or labor only.

As far as the jumping goes, what they said is true, but it must have been sitting for a while.

Thank you for the quick response.

I will check all the fuses after I get out of work today.

Keep you posted.

Thanks,

Brian

You were right on target Finch. I pulled the fuses and found one which was blown. Replaced it and now the DC outlets are back in business. Also got my Anti-Theft light blinking so I am unsure if that was disabled while the fuse was blown but feel better knowing it appears to be working now.

When I was looking at the inner door fuse box diagram I noticed a lot of fuse locations for items that had no fuses. Is that typical? It sorta confused me as fuse locations for items such as "fuel pump" didn't seem to have a fuse in them.

Everything seems to be working fine, so I didn't know if those were legit fuses or the diagram was just reference for all models and my SE might be different.

Thanks again for the tip and feedback.

Fuel pump ought to have a fuse. Got the fuse diagram right-side-up?

But it's normal to have a bunch of empty slots for fuses. They would be used for features that you don't have. Like heated seats or sunroof or other stuff that's not even available in one country or another.

Double check the diagram, there should be an arrow with an "FR." by it indicating which way the front of the car should be in relation to the diagram.

A lot of times there are slots that aren't used for anything and just hold spare fuses.

Gald to hear you got it fixed and didn't have to spend a lot of cash to do it!

Your immobilizer light should blink when you turn the car off and possibly on too? It just means it's working or to remind you to take your key.
