Default '16 Accord light problem

Wife went to use the car. Key off, hi-beams flickering and dim while sitting in driveway. Battery @ 10.2 volts. Moved the stalk back & forth cycled key and lights are off now. There was a relay clicking somewhere also. I am charging the battery now. Any ideas on where to start looking? Thank-you, Nick

You definitely have a problem with the battery, so fix this first and your problem might go away. The car battery is really 6 cells that each produce 2.1V, so 6x2.1 = 12.6V that you should read on a 12V battery. With the battery reading 10.2V, you likely have 5 working cells (5x2.1 =10.5V) which is close to the 10.2V you measured.

The battery is 12.9 after a few hours on trickle charge, new last year. The car was parked at 5pm, sun still out so headlights were off. She went back out after dark & the hi-beam bulbs were flickering & very dim. The lights being on is what discharged the battery. What I have been reading is the headlight switch itself may be failing. Honda has had some problems with these switches.
