I have a 1987 Accord DX with a carburator. At some point last fall the car stopped idling. So I turned the idle up and had to turn it up quite a bit before it would idle again. Now when I come to a stop it will die, it's a 5 speed and I usually side step the brake and can half way keep it running, I took the carb off and had it rebuilt still have the same problem. Then bought another rebuilt carb off eBay still have the same problem. I love the car and will probably never sale is, I inherited it from my dad that bought it new. Car only has 74000 miles. Help please!

 

Check for any vac leaks.

Are the tune up items up to date?
