1988 Accord and broken Power Steering bolt.
On my 88 Accord, the one bolt that is facing towards the front of the car holding the power steering pump bracket on the motor broke off inside the hole. I still have the two bolts for the bracket on side of the engine that are still good. My question is will it be ok to run the pump with only those two bolts? I really don't want to have to take it somewhere to have the broken bolt removed...[/align]

RE: 1988 Accord and broken Power Steering bolt.
i would spray some loctite or something on the others. I sheared off one of the bolts on my exhaust manifold heat shield and just torqued the other two down normally and figured it would be fine. After about 7k miles another bolt fell off, i suspect it was due to the extra vibration in the heat shield because of the lack of support on one side. since it was only held on by one bolt after that, I just took the whole heat shield off. I figure pretty much all aftermarket headers dont have heat shields so its not that big of a problem. You dont really have that option with your power steering pump. better safe than sorry, imo.
