1988 accord lxi no power to vent control
the green lights that iluminate on the dash controls for the a/c vent, hi/lo are not working, the vent is stuck on and is the only place air will come from, so there are no lights / power to the dash control unit, has this ever happended, or is there a relay i need to know about, i have tested the vent control motor and it is fine, i have an 89 model also, so i swapped them and they both work in the 89, the 88 lxi needs help, let me know,
when i bought the car last year, a/c worked all was fine, was driving home was nice day, opened roof and turned off a/c, got hot little later, so i closed the roof and went to turn the a/c back on, no power to the dash unit, a/c compressor was replace prior to my purchase and it appears to be fine

well now , with no help from this place, i am lost, and now the blower quit blowing all together, so no i have no heat , make it impossible to drive with cold, thought i would at least find another person with same issue, guess not
Don't give up on us yet....I personally don't know how I missed your first post(?). Not sure if the two are related......
To be clear, the vent you speak of are the button(s) that change the air from-floor,vent in dash, winshield? Check the No 5 fuse. If ok, pull the connector from the function control motor-check the voltage between the BLK and the YEL/BLK wire...what is it....make sure the BLK wire has continuity to ground...section 22-10 of the service manual you can download, search in the DIY section for the site-spoonerturner.....
EDIT: or we could start with the blower?
