Help...! Just got 90 Accord EX, my first....hasn't been played around with too much as far as aftermarket stereo, amp, alarm, etc.. Any way, I am installing new stereo deck along with replacing front seats. Everything was fine, seat belts worked fine, stereo cool after fuse replaced. Just went out to find seat belts will not retract, the power to the stereo was off. Replaced fuse, got power to deck and AC adapter but no seat belts or stereo? Fuse on new deck okay.

 

Honda had a lot of problems w/ those 1990 seatbelts and I thought they had a lifetime warranty. Check w/ Honda.

Just weird....same day i pulled and disconnected then reconnected seat belt connection this happens...plus stereo installation too, just wondering if i had a hand in this....could it possibly be the seat belt relay beneath LH dash? is there a way to test realy?

 

Go to Online Manuals post in DIY forum and download a 1990 manual. I don't think any other year had that type of safety belt. This has the diagnostics and circuit diagram for the seat belt system.
