1991 Accord air conditioning delete?
Anyone know where I can find a how to for deleting the AC in a 1991 Accord LX? I need to know what belt to get since I will need a smaller belt. The AC doesn't work, I tried the recharge and it pukes out the refrigerant as fast as it goes in. I'm not interested in having it anymore (its a work car). I figure if it doesn't work, I may as well drop it and at least shave some weight for gas mileage.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I believe the DX for that year didn't have AC so you can just go to the store and ask for a DX accessory belt.
Either that or cut the old one and wrap it around the PS and alternator and measure how long it needs to be without the AC and just bring the dimensions to the auto parts store and they should be able to help you.
Other than getting the right belt its pretty much as simple as removing the compressor, condenser, and lines.

Rice is correct, there was a post about a year ago where we helped a member with the exact same issue......I think the member had to remove the compressor to have the proper angle for the the new/shorter belt.
