Default 1991 Accord EX Freeze Plug Location?

I am trying to find the location of the freeze plug on my 1991 Honda Accord EX 4 door sedan, 5 speed manual so that I can install an engine heater.

The instructions that came with the engine heater - which I bought at napa part number 605-3231 - state that it should be left rear of the engine near the oil filter. However, the only plug near the oil filter that I could locate is just below it and appears to be too small.

The Haynes manual shows the non-threaded or punch style of freeze plugs and the one specified for my vehicle by napa is threaded. I was unable to locate a plug of either type.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, it's already starting to get cold!

hi,
i own a 1992 accord model. My block heater is installed exactly where you mentioned.
Notice that there is a drain tap/plug to drain the block.Unscrew it and install the block
heater.

This has pictures for a F23, but it should be nearly identical for your car too:
