Unhappy 1991 Honda Accord wont start

I have an 1991 automatic honda accord. Here is the situation.
About a week ago i was atemping to put my car into park and nuteral my car started making a loud screatching noise like the ignition was still attemping to start. When i tried to turn the car off the ignition was locked in the turned possition. I shook it back and fourth many times and finally the key turned back. For a few days it continued to do the same thing and when i would start it, it would make the same noise in park and neutral. The radio and air wouldnt turn on but everything else worked perfect. This afternoon when i tried to start it all the lights inside and the radio came on and when i turned the key the rest of the way nothing happened at all. None of the lights dimmed or turned off. No noises, no attempts for the engine to start, just the lights, radio, and air running. please help!

Sounds like a possible starter problem.

2nd opinion. Sounds like the ignition electrical switch may be damaged and hanging causing problems. New switch is an easy DIY. Check DIY forum for guidance. Also check youtube for videos. Several good ones on this repair.

good luck
