1992 AEX no fuel & intermittent fire

Default 1992 AEX no fuel & intermittent fire

So put new distributor and coil and fire is intermittent? Some times I get and more so I dont get it? I broke the 17mm fuel hose bolt on the fuel rail loose and turned key no fuel is coming out either when cranking? So itermittent fire no fuel? Any suggestions?

You would have to be the unluckiest fellow in the world to have no spark and no fuel supply at same time. Since distributor is new, I would suspect fuel is more likely your problem.

First check that 12v is getting to distributor, by checking blk/yel wire at distributor connector for 12V. If yes, the spark is likely w/ a new distributor. If you have a timing light check for flashes on spark plug leads (all) while turning engine over. If you're getting flashes, you likely have spark to start.

Check fuel power supply by listening carefully for two, Main Fuel Relay (MFR) clicks, when keyswitch is turned ON. At second click you should hear the fuel pump buzzing in the fuel tank (must be quiet condition or someone listening at open fuel tank to hear). If no clicks and no fuel pump buzz, the MFR is likely your no-start problem.
