Default 1993 accord ex tires

The lovely New York pot holes have given me the gift if a big ugly bubble on the passenger side. I know your all jealous. Are there other tire sizes that will fit comfortably on the car, my car calls out 195-60/15, I was told 195-65/15 are OK.

Is there a chart around? I checked Tire Rack and they only give the option to increase the wheel diameter to 16, 17 or 18", not an alternate tire size for the 15" rim.

Thanks

195/65 15's will be a bit taller than stock... a 205/60 or a 215/55 should be pretty similar in overall size to stock...

here's a link to a handy calculator that converts tire size to overall diameter,...

if you stay within a half inch or so of stock (24.213in) your speedometer should stay accurate to within +/- 3mph... hope this helps

Put the correct size on, this will keep the car handling/steering/acceleration/braking the same. The correct size is on the door jamb sticker.

Telling us a year and model is also helpful. Although this is an Accord forum, you can't assume every single Accord is the same.

Increasing the aspect ratio is not an increase in diameter. It's still a 15" tire that is 195mm wide, what you're changing it the height of the sidewall from 65% of 195 to 60% of 195.
