1993 accord heater core replacement
Working on replacing a bad heater core. Leaking profusely all over interior of car. I found a couple threads on here on it, none very helpful honestly. Most state how difficult this is, download the manual etc. Well, tried all the links, still have no manual. Most helpful thing so far is a youtube video I found of a 91 dash removal.
I R&R'd my steering wheel on a '94, airbag included. My immediate question is, can I drop the steering column instead of pulling steering wheel for dash removal or just easier to pull the steering wheel?
The guy in this video makes dash removal seem much easier than I thought. Matter of fact looks like I removed stuff I didn't even need to.

Heater cores leak on that generation are not that common. It is usually an intake or return line and sometimes the drain tube gets clogged which causes excess moisture on the floor. Usually a simple blast of air up the drain tube solves that problem, but not always. I hope you got everything working fine.
Unfortunately people that own the older generations don't think about the heater core lines, they usually only think about radiator hoses. If that is the case with you you are not the only one. Once again I hope you have it all fixed.

Well I was wrong. I am one of the rare people that actually had a bad heater core. Hooked it up to a hose and it was spraying all over out of a good size split. So I'm actually relieved that I didn't waste time time ripping all this apart for nothing. Ordering a new core and should have it going back in soon.

Finished this job actually a while back. Wasn't as difficult as people made it out to be. Tedious but not horrible. Most difficult part is getting the heater core box out itself without removing the AC coil which I didn't want to crack open and remove and have to recharge.
