2005 lock problems driver side and auto locks and unlocks 3 times with key in ign
2005 Accord lx - I started having a strange problem a few weeks ago with my door locks occasionally would cycle three times with key in ignition after I shut the door...it looks like they lock, unlock then lock again every time I open and close the door with key in ignition and over the weekend I got out to pump gas with the key left in ignition and closed the door and it freakin locked on me...luckily my wife was inside. Now the driver side lock stopped working completely with the FOB and the door switch. The other 3 doors lock and unlock with door armrest button. Driverside will unlock and lock manually with the key but when I turn the key twice to lock all doors that does not work either. So now driver side will not lock or unlock with anything but manually with the key and the car still cycles like 3 times locking and unlocking when I close the door with key in ignition (except for driver side stopped working) can anyone please shed some light on this issue?

driver door I mean. The 3x lock and unlocking use to happen on all 4 doors until recently it stopped doing it on the driver door, but the other 3 continue to do this. At the same time the driver door stopped responding to fob unlocking and the door lock and unlock button

Sounds like the driver's door lock actuator is bad since it no longer work.
If the driver's door lock actuator still worked, then the issue can be due to either:
There was a July 2005 Honda Service News article:
Power Doors Lock By
Themselves or Cycle Twice
NOTE: This article applies to ’03–05 Accords,
’05 Odysseys, and ’06 Ridgelines.
An open (ungrounded) driver’s door lock ****
unlock switch can cause the multiplex-controlled
power door locks to lock by themselves or to
cycle twice to unlock and then lock.
What’s going on is the multiplex control unit
"thinks" the driver’s door is locked. To try and
restore the unlock signal, the system unlocks the
door twice. The system then goes back to its
default position by locking the doors.
To fix this problem, here’s what you need to do:
1. Connect the HDS to the 16P data link
connector (DLC). Turn the ignition switch to
ON (II). Turn on the HDS.
2. At the screen prompts, enter the VIN and the
odometer reading.
3. From the Select Mode screen, select Honda
Systems. From the System Selection
Menu, select Body Electrical.
4. Select Door Locks, and then select Data List.
5. Scroll down to the driver’s door lock (unlock)
data, and read the screen. The list says ON
when the door lock **** is unlocked; OFF
when it’s locked. If the driver’s door lock input
is incorrect, go to step 6.
6. Check for an open circuit in the WHT/BLK
wire between the door multiplex control unit
and the driver’s power door lock switch. If the
wires and connections are OK, go to step 7.
7. Check the lock **** switch ground. If it’s OK,
then replace the driver’s door lock actuator.
If the driver's door lock actuator still worked, then the issue can be due to either:
- an open (break) in the Wht/Blk wire between the driver's door unlock switch and multiplex control unit
- a bad driver's door actuator.

ok thanks guys, how do you go about doing this?
"Check for an open circuit in the WHT/BLK
wire between the door multiplex control unit
and the driver’s power door lock switch"
I..f this was the problem would it prevent the driver door from locking and unlocking?

See my post #8 in this other thread regarding the Wht/Blk wire:
https://www.hondaaccordforum.com/for...lved%5D-60523/
However, yours sounds like you do have a faulty driver's door lock actuator, as an open in the Wht/Blk wire will not prevent the remote from controlling a working driver's door actuator.
