1993 accord lx Issues....
240,000 miles/just replaced muffler/timing belt/water pump/balancer belt/NGK plugs/wires/rotor cap/button/front motor mount/rear motor mount/thermostat and gasket/valve cover gaskets and lower sparkplug seals/ and cleaned the throttle cable! whew! Now, 1. the car still vibrates in reverse 2. when its cold its runs the best or so it seems But when its warm it seems to hesitate (like its not gettinggas) a bit when going about 50-60mph and i have no idea why!! Please help! As you can see, I've spent a fair amount of money in the past week and I dont really have any desire to spend money on parts i dont need. Also note there are NO check engine lights, NO service engine soon indicators, and No other codes or issues It's just acting "tired"! TIA, CC.
With the engine fully warmed up and at idle, slip your finger under the top of the EGR valve and push up to open the valve.
The engine should stumble and die.
Here is a Service Bulletin about the problem;

No, I think it's supposed to stumble if it's good.
The EGR isn't supposed to open at idle because it causes the stumbling. You're checking whether the EGR passageways are obstructed. If they're all plugged up with crud, then the engine won't stumble.
