If you get stuck let us know....I did this on my 95 about two years ago. Pretty easy and straight forward.

One bit of advice, buy some trans cooler hose (not fuel line, must be rated for trans cooler) and replace the rubber pieces that connect to the trans cooler at the bottom of the rad.....they get old and brittle, removing them and or moving the rad around can cause them to spring a leak....guess how I know this....humm, two weeks after replacing the rad, guess what, I blew one of the rubber lines.

Alright guys. Thanks for the help so far. I replaced the thermostat and gaskets as well as the radiator. I added all new coolant to the system and bled the lines. Now I have one more problem. I cranked my car after replacing everything and the temperature remained at a normal level. Then I turned on the ac to put more stress on the engine/ cooling system and the ac was putting out hot air. I let it run for a little while to see if the temp of the air would decrease at all but it didn't. So now my ac is not working properly. Is there something I may have messed up while doing the swap out? Any advice would be appreciated. (by the way I'm not sure if this helps but the heater is working perfectly)

 

Is compressor not engaging?

It's perhaps possible that you damaged a AC line and caused a leak that lost all refrigerant, or maybe just a coincidence. Look for evidence of leak; AC lube oil accumulation at leak sight.

A leak is the first thing I thought of. I did not notice any fluid in the engine bay or any liquid dripping down underneath the car.
How would I know if the compressor is not engaging?

 

The compressor pulley has plate in front of it. That plate will remain stationary while the compressor pulley spins when the a/c is off. That plate should spin with the pulley when the a/c is working.

Since you did work on the radiator, did you forget to plug in the electrical connections on the driver's side fan? Check that you didn't pull out the wire that goes to the a/c compressor as well.
