Default 1996 Clutch Issue

hey i just bought a 96 accord and i put gear oil in it after i replaced the clutch pump and the slave, but wenn i bleed it aftera minute or two it my cluch goes soft ...what can i do to fix this ? anyone

If the pedal is going soft after a few minutes then it sounds like there is a leak - air getting into - in the system. Double check the work you did and be sure all connections are tight.

@poorman212...i had i found the problem ...the gear oil i put in swoul up all the rubber parts and basicly destroyed it ..so i replaced theparts and this time i put the manual clutch fluid and its running like a champ...is there anything i can do to make it faster . i raced a couple of vtec hondas and i beat all of them..i wanna make it faster??? any help..

Help us out a bit and tell us specifically what oil you tried that swelled up the rubber gaskets. Thanks

I put Lucas high performance gear oil

I'm still confused:

Was the problem from the fluid you put into the manual transmission? Or was the problem the fluid you put in the hydraulic system in the clutch master cylinder?

Suppose to use brake fluid in the hydraulic clutch system.

Ik that nowlol.. But now im trying to bleed it again and ma pedal went deAd I don't know why

Are you sure you got all of the oil out? It might have ate the seals again?
