Default 1997 Accord EX gauges not working. Please Help!

I just bought a 1997 Honda Accord EX coupe 4 cylinder. The speedometer, odometer, and fuel gauges do not work. Everything on the left side of the cluster works ( temp and tach), everything on the right doesn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The speedometer/odometer can be a different issue than the fuel gauge, and will require some testing.

What is the speedometer doing? Does the cruise control work on the car? Is the check engine light turning on?

As for the fuel gauge. In the trunk near the back seat, there is an access panel that has 3 screws holding it in. Remove that panel and unplug the three pin connector. With the key turned to the II position (don't start the car), check that there is 5-8 volts between the yel/blu and black (ground) wire using a volt meter. Let us know what you find.

Default The check engine light is not on

The cruise I'm not sure about. I don't have the car with me right now, but I'll check the cruise and the volts in the trunk when I get off work and update the thread. Thanks for the response.

The left vs. right side split suggests maybe something with wiring plugs at the back of the cluster??

Default The speedo doesn't move at all

The engine light doesn't come on, and the cruise doesn't work. I don't have a volt meter at my apartment so that may take a few days.

Does the check engine light turn on for about 2 seconds when you first turn the key to the II position?

You can pick up a cheap volt meter to do the tests for less than $10.
