1997 Accord no start
Hi guys. Have a 1997 Honda accord LX 2.2L non vtech. Car died on the road and now doesn’t start. Have no spark at the plugs. Replaced distributor cap and rotor. Ignition coil. Ignition control module. Hooked up a reader and have no codes. Tested crank sensor resistance and seemed good according to some numbers I saw on here. Any ideas what I should try next?
I recommend not replacing any more parts until doing some more testing. Sometimes new parts out of the box can not work and makes troubleshooting more difficult. Aftermarket parts especially have this issue.
Do you have a volt meter or a test light to do some electrical troubleshooting?
Also, turn the key to the II position, but don't try to start the car. When the check engine light turns on for a few seconds to do the bulb check, do you hear the fuel pump prime? It is a faint buzzing/whirling sound from the back seat, so listen carefully.

Check that you have 12V with the power probe to the blk/yel wire going to the distributor and coil. At the coil check that you have 12V at the yel wire. The key needs to be in the II position to do these tests.
The wiring will be slightly different for a tec distributor with the internal coil. How did you modify the wiring to install the tec version? Was the tec installed not long before you had the no-spark issue?

Sorry, long day. The LX and DX had the tec distributor with the external coil. The EX had the hitachi with the internal coil.
The wire colors and tests were correct. Also test for power at the blk/yel wire at the coil while you are at it.
Did you test the yellow wire with the connector unplugged or back-probe with the connector plugged in?
