Hi,

Im new on this site...Hope to have lots of posts and learn about my car. I have a 1997 Accord with a manual trans. 168K and runs great except for the other day im driving and noticed a mild vibration in 2nd gear that happens ONLY between 2-3K RPM's....All other gears are fine in the same RPM's with no vibration and higher RPM's....Now, I just had BOTH CV axels replaced on DEC. 17th....The vibrations started a couple weeks after the CV install....I used remanufactured CV axels....Was wondering if the shop should have replaced some bearings or if anyone else has ever had the same issues.....Thanks for the help guys!

 

I would clean the EGR ports. See the link posted in the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum for EGR cleaning on a 5th generation accord.
