1997 honda accord f22b2 auto missfiring

Default 1997 honda accord f22b2 auto missfiring

hi.. my car has been miss firing i changed the spark plugs and that fixed it.. but after maybe 50 miles it started miss firing again.. cap and rotor are new, wire are new..any ideas? 1997 accord f22b2...im a newb on here i hope i have followed all the forum rules.. any help i am lost

check your timing to see if it's off any?

no i have not.. that is beyond what i am able to do(no light) and to be honest i do not know how to work on import motors i would not even no were to point it..i am a techy person i have confidence in replacing parts but that is about it..i was thinking maybe the the coil but from what i have been told coils work or dont work

yes if coil is bad your car will not start at all.

Maybe the EGR ports are clogged? If you go to the common diy thread on top of the gen tech help forum, there is a link to cleaning egr ports. There should be a link to a good YouTube video on how to do this as well. It is not a bad DIY job.

isn't this a good indication you've ID'd the problem? Now, why isn't it staying fixed ...

So, I'd take out the plugs now that they're missfiring and see what they look like. photo them.
while they're all out Id do a compression test; Autozone or Oreilly's may loan you the tool. write down results.
