1997 sedan rear caliper
Guys,
I'm new. I'm changing the passenger side rear caliper on a 1997 accord sedan. I think I may have the wrong part. The difference seems to be in how the emergency brake cable bracket attaches. The old caliper has only one bolt hole, the new one(autozone) has two. It seems to be the right part number.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

There were two different caliper manufacturers for the 94/97 Hondas, Nissin and Akebono. They have different part numbers from Honda, so there must be something different between them. Your accord only has Akebono listed with the one hole.
I wonder if you got the other brand?
I would go back to the parts store to see if they have another one with one hole to attach the e-brake.

I would just look at their other calipers that have the same part number. The company that rebuilds those calipers could have made a mistake.
Your accord only takes one style caliper, so I am not surprised that there is only one part number.

So, AutoZone only lists one caliper. the one they carry is incorrect for my car (Nissin).
The local 'Import parts store" carries both the Nissin and Akebono.
Got it finished $10 than I expected.
THanks for the help.. FYi I found that 1997 Acura CL 3.0 uses the same caliper.
