1998 Honda Acc LX; rear Defroster doesnt work
I have a 1998 Accord LX.
The rear defroster does not work. The defroster button light comes on, but the frost/snow never melts.
How to I remove the rear side panel, so I can access the wires going to the rear window to measure the voltage? just pry on the edges?
Thanks,
Robert

Is this a sedan? The rear pillar cover is held on with plastic clips. So, gentle prying and pulling should remove it. It looks like the Blk/Grn wire for power (+) is attached to the terminal on the rear driver's side. The Black wire for (ground) is attached to the terminal on the rear passenger side.
But, before you take off the rear pillar cover to check for power, you can test for power/voltage at the Blk/Grn wire coming into the window antennae coil. The window antennae coil (a little box type unit) is located inside the trunk area. There are two connectors attached to the antennae coil. Connector A (1-Brn connector) is for the Blk/Grn power wire. Connector B (2-Brn connector) is for the Blk ground wire.
