Hi HAF, I have a 1998 honda accord v6 and the maint req light just turned on. I recently did a tune up. Change the breaks pad, break liquid, transmissuon fluid, change oil, change spark plug and wire. Does anyone have any tip on why the light might be on?

 

That maint-required lamp is just a reminder based on the odometer. When you change oil, you have to reset it yourself. It's not triggered by any kind of measurement or sensor on the car. Just the odometer, probably every 7500 miles if I recall.

Actually, I might have been wrong about one thing in that post: I think you CAN reset it when it's still flashing, you don't have to wait until it's on constantly.
