99 Honda accord Sedan lx Maint. req' issue
Hello all
I have an 1999 honda accord lx Sedan
The other night I was about to leave to work when I noticed something weird.
Whenever I turned my key, The Maintan' req' light would blink 10 times and then stop.
The weird thing here is that It does it when the car is not even running.
and It doesnt blink again until I turn the car off and on again.
I tried to do another oil change after the bilking started but it didnt change anything.
Any guesses?
Thanks

No guesses, it's in your owner's manual.
That's a reminder to change your oil. But you have to reset it, it doesn't "know" that you have changed the oil.
First, you have to wait until that warning lamp comes on solid (not flashing).
- Key OFF.
- Press & hold the odometer-reset button.
- Key ON while you continue holding the odometer reset button. (no need to start the engine)
- Continue holding the reset button forever. Well, actually about 20 or 25 more seconds.
- Lamp will flash a few times then turn off.
- DONE.
