Default 1999 Accord 2.3 5 speed oil leak

Hello everyone

I was wondering if anyone knows about a oil leak i have on my accord. I'm losing about 2 qts every 1000 miles or so and i can't figure out what it may be? I started by replacing the oil pan gasket and its still leaking. I curious to see if anyone else with the same type of accord and same mileage(148,000) had the same problem, and maybe shed some light on what might be my next move

Thanks

Some places that are known to leak:

1) distributor internal shaft seal and distributor/cylinder head oring seal. Later is easy to replace, but internal shaft seal more difficult. If shaft seal is leaking you will see oil dripping from lower side of distributor at the drain hole.

2) Vtec flange gasket will leak good amount of oil. Easy to spot near rear of cylinder head on pax side.

3) rear balance shaft /oil pump cover seal. Leaks w/ age. Requires access same as timing belt so usually replaced when TB work is done.

4) oil pressure switch on rear side of engine near but above the oil filter. Has a single wire. Oil will leak through center of switch. Easy replacement but requires large deep socket (available at some parts stores for rent).

5) Valve cover gasket. Pretty obvious for oil leaking around edges or camshaft humps.

Where is oil leaking? Look for drips on cardboard laid under car.

good luck
