Just bought car, looks like something is missing here behind the engine. Looks like there are springs inside. Please help if you know what is missing. Thank you

 

Can you post a picture zoomed out, because I have no idea where you are at in the engine bay.

 

Appears to be the location for the Countershaft Speed Sensor.

appreciate the help previously, but I found it was not the speed sensor missing.. the hole is located on top of the transmission between the firewall and engine.. anyone have any thoughts? See previous pics in this thread.

Location is straight down where the red arrow is.
