1999 Accord V6 cam sensor
#4
You may want to go back to get the actual trouble code number and post it.
Can't be sure what it is referring to, as there is no cam sensor per se for a 99 Accord V6. Not sure if they may be referring to crankshaft position sensor or something else. In addition, a trouble code does not always means an issue with a sensor, it can be due to wiring, connection, car's computer, etc.

That looks like the crankshaft position sensor (CKP sensor).
1. Inspect the connector, connector terminals, and wiring first.
2. If the connector and wiring look okay, unplug the connector, then measure the resistance between the sensor's two terminals.
Resistance should be 1,850 - 2,450 ohms.
3. Check for continuity between body ground and the CKP sensor's terminals No. 1 (Blue wire) and No. 2 (white wire), individually. -- There should be no continuity to body ground.
4. There still can be a resistance test done of the harness connector for the PCM (car's computer) and continuity test at the PCM; but, I won't get into that at this point.

CKP sensor replacement requires removal of alternator belt, power steering belt, dipstick, crankshaft pulley, and covers.
However, it may not be due to a faulty CKP sensor.
