Default 2.3l ulev 4speedauto transmission filter?

Where is the transmission filter on this thing?

Inside the trans........unless you have a factory reman unit, in which case there will be a filter inline with the cooler at the bottom of the radiator.

I think that you would have to open the transmission to get to it.

What I am saying is that is probably a major PIA to do. It is not a normal maintenance item like the oil filter.

What year is your accord? and why do you want to change the filter? The 98-02 accords have had a lot of transmission problems.

That auto tranny doesn't have a pan that you remove to get the filter. You have to remove the tranny from the car & actually open up the tranny case. It's not a routine replacement on any kind of schedule. It's something you do during a rebuild.

That is, unless YOUR tranny has a filter in one of the hoses that go to the tranny cooler (in the radiator).
